In September 2020, the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), released the technical guide, How to Build a Regulatory Sandbox: A Practical Guide for Policy Makers. ‘A regulatory sandbox is a tool for developing evidence about how a new product, technology, or business model (innovation) works and the outcomes it produces.

 This session of the USAID/ESC Regional Climate Symposium will focus on interactions between climate change and people in the region highlighting current and effective tools for addressing its impacts. The event will feature climate science specialists from the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology, the Caribbean Community Climate Change Center, and the University of the West Indies.   

This event is part of the “Refresh, Renew, and Re-pivot to Action” symposium, an eight-session series hosted by USAID Eastern and Southern Caribbean Mission. The symposium’s objectives are to renew and strengthen USAID/ESC’s existing partnerships in the region by encouraging dialogue and to share information and opportunities on climate change for the region.

In a policy brief released in the early stages of the COVID pandemic in June 2020, the Evidence Consortium on Women’s Groups (ECWG) examined the implications of the pandemic and the lockdown for women’s groups.
