Symposium Opening: Refresh, Renew, and Re-pivot for Climate Action

This event is part of the “Refresh, Renew, and Re-pivot to Action” symposium, an eight-session series hosted by USAID Eastern and Southern Caribbean Mission. The symposium’s objectives are to renew and strengthen USAID/ESC’s existing partnerships in the region by encouraging dialogue and to share information and opportunities on climate change for the region.

The opening session on June 16 will feature high-level remarks from U.S Government officials and a live signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between regional organizations Caribbean Community Climate Change Center (CCCCC), Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH), Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), and USAID. The session will include a poetry reading from award-winning poet Deneka Thomas from Trinidad and Tobago.
