USAID recognizes that some complex development challenges can only be solved through market-based solutions. USAID’s Private Sector Engagement Hub is working to expand collaboration with the private sector and pioneer approaches that catalyze investments into emerging and frontier markets. Increasingly, as more private investors enter and invest in these markets, development partners have an important role to play in attracting new investments into high-impact areas. Encouraging these investments requires new forms of collaboration and inclusive tactics.

Attendees of the third webinar in the Principled Interest series learned tactics from the investment world on building resilient and inclusive markets.  USAID hosted an interactive discussion with thought leaders from Resilience Capital Ventures, SA SME Fund, and the Investment Integration Project  on how to structure more inclusive investments that address the root causes of seemingly intractable development problems. The webinar examined how to support systemic change through financial inclusion that utilizes a range of financial instruments and partnerships.
