3. The Five-Point Framework

The Five-Point Strategic Framework is used to explain and organize the complexities of finance in developing economies. All five elements work together to influence the nature of each and every financial transaction, as indicated at the center of the framework.

The vertical elements of the framework (Enabling Conditions, Financial Infrastructure, and Facilitators & Disrupters) represent the broad, systemic conditions in which the finance sector of an economy operates.

The horizontal elements of the framework (Finance Seekers and Finance Providers & Intermediaries) represent the parties to any individual financial transaction.

In this wiki, these five elements are used as an organizing framework for finance interventions. Use the left-hand navigation links to navigate to a specific intervention or feel free to explore them in any order.
