Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions. 

How do I?

Create an account:
From the Marketlinks.org homepage, click on the “LOG IN” button in the upper right corner. In the pop-up box, click “Create an Account” at the bottom right. Fill in the form, and click “Create account.” You will receive an email confirming your account. Click the link in the email to validate your email address.

Sign in:
From the Marketlinks.org homepage, click on the “LOG IN” button in the upper right corner.

Fill out my profile:
Sign in to Marketlinks.org and click “MY ACCOUNT” in the upper right corner. In the pop-up box, click “Edit Profile” and fill out the fields. 

Request a new password:
From the Marketlinks.org homepage, click on the “LOG IN” button in the upper right corner. In the pop-up box, click “Forgot password?” Enter your email address. A password reset link will be emailed to you.

Change my password:
From the Marketlinks.org homepage, click on the “LOG IN” button in the upper right corner, and sign in to the site. In the upper right corner, click “MY ACCOUNT” and then click “Edit Profile” in the pop-up box. Enter your current password, and then your new password below.  

Post a blog or announcement:

  1. Click the “POST” button in the upper right corner. In the pop-up box, select “Submit a post (Blog or announcement).”
  2. Under the “Basic Information” tab, enter a title, summary, and body text. Today’s date will be autopopulated. If you would like to embed a photo in the body of the post, use the “Embedded Images” section. Click “Choose File,” choose your photo, and click “Upload.” 
  3. Then, click on the “Author" tab on the left-hand side. Enter any authors. (Click “Add another item” to add more than one author).
  4. Upload an image to accompany your post by clicking on the “Media” tab on the left hand side. This image will appear on the home page or topic page where your post lives. Images will automatically resize to fit users’ screens. Under “IMAGE,” click “Add media.” Then, click “Choose File,” then “Upload.” In the “Alternate Text” box, enter a description of the photo and a photo credit, if needed. 
  5. Add any attachments under the “Resource Attachments” section. 
  6. Under the “Tagging” tab on the left-hand side, choose a “Post Type.” Then select at least one topic from the “Topics” list of 12 topics that is relevant to your post. We recommend tagging no more than three topics per post.
  7. Add a Region and/or Country, if applicable. 
  8. Click save on the bottom left-hand side. Your post will be sent to the Marketlinks team for moderation, and posted once approved.

Submit a resource:

  1. Click the “Post” button in the upper right corner. In the pop-up box, select “Submit a resource.
  2. Under the Basic Information tab, enter a title, summary, and body text. Today’s date will be autopopulated. If you would like to embed a photo in the body of the post, use the “Embedded Images” section. Click “Choose File,” choose your photo, and click “Upload.” 
  3. Then, click on the Details tab on the left-hand side. Enter any authors or authoring organizations. (Click Add another item to add more than one organization or author).
  4. Upload an image to accompany your post by clicking on the Media tab on the left-hand side. This image will appear on the home page or topic page where your post lives. Images will automatically resize to fit users’ screens. Under “IMAGE,” click “Add media.” Then, click Choose File, then Upload. In the “Alternate Text” box, enter a description of the photo and a photo credit, if needed. 
  5. Add the resource file(s) under the Resource Attachments section. You can upload multiple resources.
  6. Under the Tagging tab on the left-hand side, there are two required tags: Topics and Resource Type. Select at least one topic from the list of 12 topics that is relevant to your post. We recommend tagging no more than three topics per post. Then select the Resource Type – either document or training.
  7. You may also add tags for Document Type, Donor Type, Region and/or Country, if applicable. 
  8. Click save on the bottom left-hand side. Your post will be sent to the Marketlinks team for moderation, and posted once approved.

Submit an event or training:

  1. Click the “POST” button in the upper right corner and select “Submit an event.”
  2. Enter a title, date, and location.
  3. Enter the time of the event as in this example: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
  4. Use the “PRIMARY LINK” section for your main event link (registration link, more information, etc).
  5. Add event speakers, organization/host, a short summary, and body text.
  6. Under the Media tab, add an image, which will appear on the events page. Make sure the file is less than 5MB, and is between 624x624 and 1920x1080 pixels. Any aspect ratio should be ok.
  7. Add additional resources by clicking on “Add Attachments” under “EVENT MATERIALS.”
  8. In the body section, enter a description of your event. You can type directly in the field. 
  9. Under the “Tagging” tab, select at least one topic that is relevant to your post (mandatory).
  10. Choose an “Event Type” - either online or in person.
  11. Click save. Your post will be sent to the Marketlinks team for moderation, and posted once approved.

From the Marketlinks Homepage, click “Topics” at the top left corner. From here, you can browse featured collections on important issues in inclusive market systems development.
