These are the presentations for the After Hours Seminar #11, entitled 'Small and Medium Enterprises Matter' that took place on February 26, 2007, featured Scott Kleinberg of USAID’s Microenterprise Development office and Geetha Nagarajan of The IRIS Center at University of Maryland. This seminar was an opportunity to focus on the business enabling environment.


Geetha Nagarajan presented research that the IRIS Center has recently conducted about the linkages between microenterprises and SMEs in Bangladesh. Scott Kleinberg, who leads the enabling environment practice in the Microenterprise Development office, followed Geetha with a more general overview of the enabling environment with his presentation entitled 'The Path to Strategic Policy Reform'.
