2010 SEEP Annual Conference: SEEP's 25th! And new developments at USAID...

SEEP ConferenceStacey Young, PhD is the Senior Knowledge Management Advisor at the USAID Microenterprise Development office.

USAID Microenterprise Development congratulates SEEP on its 25-year anniversary and its many accomplishments. Well done!

And we’re delighted to have a few things to celebrate ourselves, not least of which is the arrival of our new Director, Shari Berenbach, who will hold a plenary session on Wednesday afternoon (not to be missed!). With her deep knowledge and passionate commitment to microfinance and the world’s poor, Shari’s leadership signals great things ahead for USAID’s microenterprise program.

We’re also celebrating the rollout of Microlinks 2.0 in beta. Users can connect to each other through an enhanced set of interactive opportunities; create and share content through discussion forums, blogs like this one, wikis, and other opportunities; seek the resources they need in the Microlinks Library as well as the repositories of a growing number of other sites on the KDID portal; and use the Good Practice Center resources, confident in the knowledge that they represent the best of what USAID offers in microenterprise knowledge. Worth the wait! Be sure to create your account during the SEEP conference – just stop by the Microlinks table and use the iPad to sign up.
