WEEGE Technical Guide

The Women’s Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality (WEEGE) Technical Guide was developed to enable USAID staff to design, procure, implement, monitor and evaluate programs that increase women’s economic empowerment and gender equality outcomes. It offers tangible solutions to support USAID efforts to integrate WEEGE into global, regional and country strategic planning; project and activity design and implementation; monitoring and evaluation; and collaboration, learning and adapting. It includes practical tools, resources and samples rooted in USAID Automated Directives System (ADS) Chapter 205 and Chapter 201. The guide is designed to improve dialogue, coordination and impact among USAID and its development partners as they seek to advance WEEGE.

The WEEGE Technical Guide comprises six units, with supplementary documents provided with each unit:
