The Resource Library serves as a broad resource hub, including over 1000 documents, training materials, wikis, and curated reports to increase readers' awareness, understanding, and proficiency of several topics in market systems development. Users have access to proposals, evaluation materials, and USAID policy updates, as well as training modules and wikis to boost skills and knowledge.

These resources are bolstered by the inclusion of curated USAID reports published on the USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) which serves as a repository of reports from completed or ongoing USAID development projects around the globe. Adolescent Girls Economic Vulnerability Tool Indicator Guide

The alarming gender and age disparity in the rate of new HIV infections in Sub-Saharan Africa has driven the development of new initiatives to address the needs of young women. One of these initiatives is DREAMS, a $385 million partnership to reduce HIV infections among adolescent girls and young women in 10 sub-Saharan African countries. DREAMS targets girls and young women aged 10-24 in addition to male sex partners.

ASPIRES Vulnerability Assessment Handbook for Economic Strengthening Projects

This handbook will assist practitioners and specialists in monitoring and evaluation in the selection of vulnerability assessment approaches for economic strengthening interventions. The focus is on programs for orphans and vulnerable children supported by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), where economic strengthening is used to increase resilience to negative HIV-related outcomes for children. The handbook is intended primarily for development programs in relatively stable contexts rather than emergency relief work.

The purpose of this case study is to outline how the ASPIRES project designed a vulnerability assessment for the context of Côte d’Ivoire and for the needs of the USAID Health Office’s PEPFAR-funded Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) programs, demonstrate the process of the appropriate selection of tools and methods, and share lessons learned from the experience.

Review of Vulnerability Assessment Methods for Reintegration and Prevention of Child Separation

This report was prepared to inform planning in the USAID-funded ASPIRES project. Economic Strengthening for Female Sex Workers: A Review of the Literature

Female sex workers (FSWs) have been identified as a key population in the global fight against AIDS. In concentrated, mixed, and even generalized epidemics, the contribution of sex work toward the onward transmission of HIV is substantial.  HIV risk is directly related to the economic vulnerability of FSWs, the vast majority of whom report entering sex work for financial reasons due to lack of alternative employment opportunities.
