Upgrading in Global Value Chains: Lessons from Latin American Clusters
This report provides a deeper understanding of MSE upgrading and the factors that affect MSE owners’ upgrading decisions, based on a synthesis of information from nine value chains (six in agriculture and three in handicrafts). The findings point to a number of implications for facilitating MSE upgrading and enhancing MSE benefits.
