The environment in which value chain actors operate is shaped by rules and regulations that can be informal as well as formal. Influencing informal rules involves changing the attitudes and behaviors of actors within the system. While the difficulty of this task should not be underestimated, SDCAsia has developed some practical activities and methods that can facilitate the process. This document presents these tools in detail. The tools are not necessarily intended to be used in sequence; rather, practitioners should choose the tools and processes needed for their specific project goals.
