Established in 2009, the Akazi Kanoze Youth Livelihoods Project aimed to link Rwandan youth with the economy, private, and public sectors. It provided opportunities for productive engagement in society, education, and workforce training. Using treatment and control groups, the project tested whether the intervention would improve youth livelihoods. The project's final results focus on the employment outcomes of participants and indicate a greater increase in skills development, good financial habits, and the opportunity to be employed after graduation.
