Ka-Hay Law of Engineers Without Borders Canada presented, "Organizational Capacity: Why the Value Chain Approach May Fail." The seminar was the 40th installment of the Linking Small Firms to Competitiveness Strategies Breakfast Seminar Series sponsored by the USAID Microenterprise Development office. Law's presentation highlighted the importance of organizational capacity in USAID's Production, Finance, and Technology (PROFIT) project in Zambia. The aim of PROFIT is to improve smallholder and small business productivity; to work toward this goal, the PROFIT team engages in value chain analysis and market facilitation.
