Migrant Remittances Newsletter Vol. 3 No. 1

The April 2006 edition of the Migrant Remittances Newsletter tackles the question, "Where can migrants turn for information?" The issue offers insight gained from a survey of migrant associations on their activities in providing remittances information to their members, finding that there is little in the way of formal remittances information services offered to members. Rather, these associations focus primarily on services and development activities in their home countries. The issue also offers examples of the activities of hometown associations in the Philippines and Honduras working to enhance the development impact of remittances.
