USAID’s new Market Systems Resilience (MSR) State of the Field Map provides a snapshot of where an MSR lens is being intentionally applied in programming and research and learning initiatives globally.

Published in January 2022, this resource includes both the visual map as well as additional detail in table format on how 35 projects across 26 countries are applying MSR. This includes contact information and relevant publications contributed by 16 implementers, representing projects funded by USAID as well as several other donors.

The map is designed not only to present a visual landscape of applied MSR, but also to aid practitioners and policy makers in understanding who is doing what and where, in order to spur practical opportunities for collaboration, peer exchange of research and experience, and to enhance collective efforts to strengthen more resilient market systems. For more on MSR, see USAID’s resource page at https://www.marketlinks.org/resources/market-systems-resilience-measurement-resources-0.

This map was developed by Vikāra Institute for DAI under the Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships Activity (MSP). MSP is advancing learning and good practice in market systems development and private sector engagement within USAID, USAID partners and market actors.
