This document reports the findings from an effectiveness assessment of the Growth-oriented Microenterprise Development project in India based on a mixed-method approach. The evaluation examined project outputs, outcomes and impacts of the fresh vegetable component of the project, which sought to sustainably raise incomes of small-scale farmers by improving their production techniques and linking them to corporate buyers. The baseline research was conducted in 2007, with a second round of research conducted in 2009. This report compares results from the two phases and highlights lessons learned about both the program model and the evaluation methods used.
