Supported by USAID’s Fostering Agriculture Competitiveness Employing Information Communication Technologies (FACET) project under the FIELD-Support LWA, this profile features Awaaz.De. Awaaz.De is a participatory, voice-based, and open-source platform that functions as a voice message board and information service that is currently being used in India for a number of agricultural purposes, including tracking harvest yields, answering topical questions, pushing agricultural and market price information, and connecting buyers to farmers via a voice classifieds service. This profile outlines how it works, the implementer/funder, the technology used, fees, primary markets, users, business model, and impact.

The FACET project aims to help USAID missions and their implementing partners in sub-Saharan Africa use information and communications technology in sustainable and scalable approaches to improve the impact of their agriculture-related development projects.
