Supported by USAID’s Fostering Agriculture Competitiveness Employing Information Communication Technologies (FACET) project under the FIELD-Support LWA, this profile discusses AgriManagr, a software platform developed by VirtualCity in Kenya. AgriManagr is used by outgrowing companies to improve their efficiency by automating the procurement process. Results from existing users have shown reduced weighing time at farm gate and a reduction of up to two months in the time it takes to pay farmers. In addition, farmers now have a balance sheet and record of all their transactions which can be used as proof of income to banks or other institutions.

The FACET project aims to help USAID missions and their implementing partners in sub-Saharan Africa use information and communications technology in sustainable and scalable approaches to improve the impact of their agriculture related development projects.
