This presentation, originally prepared for the June 2011 Cracking the Nut Conference on rural and agricultural finance, discusses CRS' use of the Saving and Internal Lending Communities (SILC) methodology to encourage participants to generate financial resources that can be invested in agricultural productivity, and to provide a link between community groups and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s agricultural extension services in Ghana.
