Over 800 million people in developing countries do not have, at all times, physical and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious foods to meet their daily dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. A major response by the U.S. Government to the problem of food insecurity is the nearly one billion dollars spent annually on food aid. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Title II development (non-emergency) food aid program constitutes the single largest source of funding focused on sustainable food security. These presentation slides assess the exit strategies of Title II.
