This study is part of a series of guided case studies aimed at exploring whether and under what conditions the application of a value chain approach can help accelerate economic growth in conflict-affected environments. The study draws out lessons learned from a pilot initiative implemented by IRC to promote cotton production among displaced farmers living in camps in Northern Uganda, and the applicability of the value chain approach in such situations.
