This impact assessment focuses on Zambian PROFIT interventions in three of the five value chains in which the program is currently working: cotton, beef cattle, and retail input services. Impacts will be measured at the value chain, MSE, and household levels. The purpose of the baseline study is to establish conditions in both the treatment (client) and control (non-client) groups at the beginning of the impact assessment, so as to assess the level and direction of change in the follow-up study two years later.
