Both the Economic Strengthening to Keep and Reintegrate Children into Families (ESFAM) project and the Family Resilience (FARE) project used novel approaches to build evidence on the role of economic strengthening in preventing separation and effectively supporting the reintegration of separated families, and their experiences offer practical lessons for implementers. This evaluation seeks to capture some of these lessons by examining the designs and implementation processes of the cash transfer components of the ESFAM and FARE projects.
