Push-Pull Model for Young Women and Men in Food Systems

Wageningen University and Research has been working with young women and men in agricultural production and processing for decades; not to mention teaching some of them. But we've only recently begun to really focus on how food systems need to involve youth as the leaders of the next generation. Ultimately they will need to own the question of how to feed the burgeoning global population and make sure the food system is sustainable, both for those employed in it (the employees and entrepreneurs), those that benefit from it (the consumers), and the natural environment that underwrites it (the ecosystems).

Together with CTA, Wageningen has developed a broad framework, or think-piece, which we're now using as a reference in our programmes and research. You can find it attached below and we're looking to receive feedback, thoughts and inspiration with which to further develop it! We are looking forward to the responses.
