The Small and Growing Business (SGB) Evidence Fund is a partnership between the International Growth Centre (IGC) and Aspen Network for Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) that supports collaborations between researchers and practitioners to understand the most effective ways to support SGBs and the economic and social impact of SGB growth. The fund has commissioned more than a dozen rigorous studies in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

USAID, a key supporter of the fund, and representatives from ANDE and IGC presented key insights that emerged from two studies supported by the fund that examined interventions to reduce gender discrimination in access to finance. USAID Chief Economist Dean Karlan and Chris Woodruff of IGC and Oxford gave remarks.
