NRC Market Based Programming (MBP) Toolbox Launch Event

Join us for this launch event of the Market Based Programming (MBP) Toolbox!

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), in collaboration with Vikāra Institute, is pleased to launch this new MBP Toolbox.

NRC has the vision to use a Market Based Approach more frequently across its humanitarian programming, supporting and changing the way markets operate in the interests of the people it serves. 

Several other leading humanitarian agencies, and key donors, are moving in this direction, embracing development methods to achieve locally owned, sustainable, environmentally sensitive humanitarian outcomes. This journey is also the Markets in Crises Community of Practice's subject area.

NRC has commissioned Vikāra Institute to create a curated toolbox from available materials of the most practical, accessible, and effective resources - tailored to the needs of NRC and peer agencies. This toolbox is oriented to humanitarian agencies' entry points and timeframes throughout the full programme cycle - somewhat analogous to the CaLP Programme Quality Toolbox, but for Market Based Programming.

The toolbox has been created in English, French, and Spanish. The English version has been used when source resources in these languages are not yet available.
