Anita Campion of AZMJ shares her key takeaways from the After Hours Seminar #62, "Attracting Private Investment into Agribusiness." In this video, she summarizes some of the remaining barriers in attracting private investors to support rural and agricultural markets in developing countries.

Bio: Anita Campion

President of AZMJ, Anita Campion is an economic development specialist with more than 20 years experience in international and domestic finance and private sector development. AZMJ spearheaded the Cracking the Nut initiative, which began in 2010. Campion has advised on several financial services and development projects throughout the world. She has designed and led workshops on agricultural value chain finance in Haiti, Peru and Mali. For Chemonics International, she managed the Financial Sector BPA and Financial Services IQC, overseeing projects related to agricultural finance, risk mitigation tools such as insurance, leasing and bank restructuring, as well as prudential regulation and supervision of microfinance institutions. She also led research on agricultural value chain finance and designed training tools as Director of AMAP Microfinance Knowledge Generation project. As Executive Director, she transformed the MicroFinance Network into a leading policy institution by developing and promoting microfinance best practices. Known for knowledge management, she’s an excellent intercultural facilitator, fluent in English, French and Spanish.
