At the Cracking the Nut Conference in Washington DC, Carolina Trivelli, Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, discusses a new project initiated by the intitute to promote rural finance and savings.

Bio: Carolina Trivelli

Carolina is an independent consultant in rural financial markets, poverty and rural development issues. She is Board Member of Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Ambiental (SPDA), and of Caja Rural Profinanzas SA. She is also a member of the Consultative Group for the Rural Development Strategy for Peruvian Andes (CIAS). She is Former President of the Seminario Permanente de Investigacion Agraria (SE-PIA) and Former General Director of the Intituto de Estudios Peruanos. Currently, since 2008, she co-manages Proyecto Capital, an initiative to link conditional cash transfer programs with financial inclusion strategies.
