2012 SEEP Annual Conference: Howells, Rodriguez, and Burga discuss social performance management

At the 2012 SEEP Annual Conference, held November 4-8 in Arlington, VA, Kenlor Howells of ADAPTE, Tomás Rodriguez of Redcamif, and Jack Burga of Catholic Relief Services present on social performance management techniques and best practices for micro-finance institutions. Redcamif mentions the Social Performance Task Force guide for MFIs are based on the Universal Standards of Social Performance Management (USSPM). Burga focuses on three main themes for MFIs: poverty, gender, and rural outreach. Training programs, virtual programs, and in-person seminars are utilized in their working groups to teach best practices in reaching the poorest populations.
