Job Opportunities: Value Chain / Market Systems Development projects in Mali - international positions

The International Labour Organization is looking for two project managers and one VCD / MSD expert for two upcoming Market Systems Development projects in Mali (one Sida-funded and one AICS-funded) that will focus on agricultural value chains in southern regions of the country, from the July 2023 to December 2026. Game Based Learning Apps Win in Youth Competition

The culture of food safety in Senegal leaped forward recently with the announcement of the winners of the youth competition on “Smart Food Safety.” The competition solicited innovation smart phone applications to assist small business owners to adopt safer food handling practices. “Samba the Fisherman from Soumbédioune” took first place at $10,000 and second and third-place winners claimed $5,000 and $3,000 respectively.

Water and Energy for Food Announces New Call for Innovations

Water and Energy for Food Grand Challenge (WE4F), through its Southern and Central Africa Regional Innovation Hub (S/CA RIH), is proud to announce the launch of the second Southern and Central Africa Call for Innovations to foster innovation and enhance food security in the region. This call will support up to 30 organizations working on innovative technologies and business model solutions to provide more sustainable water or energy solutions for climate-resilient agriculture.
