New Broad Agency Announcement for Locally Led Development Innovation

USAID’s Office of Local Sustainability (E3/LS) has launched its new Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Locally Led Development Innovation. This BAA, developed in response to field demand, allows USAID Operating Units (OUs) to issue Addenda to solicit, co-create, and fund basic research, applied research, research and development, and/or pilot initiatives addressing specific locally led development challenges. OUs interested in submitting an Addendum should contact [email protected].

The BAA's first Addendum, "New Directions in Advancing Locally Led Development," issued by E3/LS, is now seeking short Expressions of Interest on the following:

  • Engaging the Local Private Sector
  • Conflict, Post-Conflict, and Non-Permissive Environments
  • The Changing Role of the Donor
  • Local Giving, Philanthropy, and Other Private Resources

E3/LS invites you to share this call widely.  Interested parties should review the Addendum carefully and submit Expressions of Interest to [email protected] no later than 11:59pm EDT on Friday, July 12, 2019.  Interested in locally led development? Subscribe to their newsletter

For consultation, training and other learning opportunities on Broad Agency Announcements, contact [email protected]. The next in-person learning opportunity will be on August 6th in Washington DC but if you are unable to participate in person, check out this brief review and be on the lookout for future virtual learning opportunities on this subject.

The Journey to Self-Reliance begins with locally-led development.
