Financing Artichokes and Citrus: A Study of Value Chain Finance in Peru

In Peru, the processed artichoke value chain provides an expanding market for farmers to sell high value-added products and recent global changes have created an opportunity for the citrus value chain to increase exports.

This study looks at financial flows within the artichoke and citrus value chains in Peru, identifies how firms and other actors in the value chains access finance both within and outside the value chain, and analyzes how access to or lack of finance impacts their overall competitiveness.
